What I do is visual storytelling – taking a photojournalistic approach to quickly, quietly, and unobtrusively capture the beauty and emotion of spontaneous real life moments, settings, and details. As a result, I love to shoot people and landscapes and architecture. These elements come together in weddings. I particularly appreciate those that take place in natural, rustic, casual settings – vineyards, farms, barns, parks – or in picturesque landscapes and distant destinations. My vision is to create a cohesive collection of great images that capture the real life story of your wedding day. For weddings, that vision is driven by the final product – images that can stand alone as separate prints or come together as part of collection, as in a coffee table book or album. BIOGRAPHY I have been a ardent photographer my whole life. I’ve almost always carried a camera and taken pictures wherever I’ve been. My professional photography experience includes portraits, weddings, architecture, travel, landscape, events, commercial, industrial. Over the years, a constant theme has been capturing intimate artistic images of people on location that tell a visual story with emotional impact; using an unobtrusive, candid, photojournalistic approach to create elegant compositions with strong graphic elements; with warm natural light. I continue to study photography, with a goal of refining my technique and improving the final product for clients.
